DELIVERY

The postal code will determine the shipping fees. The basic rate is $59.95 and varies according to the distance the delivery team must travel. The customer has 48 hours after delivery to report a defective product or any damage to the residence.

If "inside delivery" is not indicated on your contract, the delivery team will leave the merchandise on your doorstep.

For purchases of $799 or more, RD Furniture offers free local delivery at your doorstep by applying a $59.95 discount to your invoice.


INSIDE-DELIVERY

The basic rate applies and varies depending on the distance travelled. Delivery fees will be added to any order of 10 items or less. If you have more than 10 items, add $5.00 to the estimated cost for every extra item.

Merchandise-delivery location

RD Furniture leaves the product outside, at the residence’s main door threshold, or inside the garage.

Merchandise-delivery location

RD Furniture delivers the product in the room of your choice. The delivery team can only remove doors with pivot hinges. 

If the product does not fit in the doorway, the delivery fees will not be refunded, and return fees may be charged.

Unpacking

No merchandise will be unpacked. 

Unpacking

Only appliances will be unpacked but will not be installed.

Old Appliances Pickup

Only old appliances previously left outside will be picked up. 

When purchasing a new appliance, the customer must advise RD Furniture if a used one must be picked up. Old appliances are collected according to the 1 for 1 principle, meaning one used appliance is collected for every new appliance delivered. Note that we will only accept clean appliances.

Only old appliances previously unplugged will be brought back. Please ensure floors are protected.

Installation

No merchandise installation will be made.

Assembly

No merchandise assembly will be made.

Contract Balance Payment

The contract balance must be paid 48 hours before delivery. The customer must go to the store to proceed with the payment. In case of non-payment, the delivery will be cancelled, and RD Furniture reserves the right to cancel the contract.

Damage Risk

When unusual or difficult delivery conditions are encountered, the customer is informed in advance of any damage risk. The customer can sign a liability waiver, or return the merchandise to the store and select another product. Any damage caused during delivery must be reported within 48 hours using the online after-sales service form.

Items Not Covered

Some items not covered during delivery are damage to floors caused by moving appliances, scratches on frames or doors during the passage of furniture, and loss of the use of a product, as well as loss of wages or time caused by a delay or postponement of delivery.

Upon Delivery

An adult must be present at the time of delivery. If that's not possible, you can pick up your merchandise at a warehouse selected by Meubles RD within 7 days.  Additional fees will be charged depending on the area if you wish to reschedule a delivery.

Address or Delivery Date Modification

You can update the date or address at least 48 business hours before the scheduled delivery. Note that address updates must be made in person and in-store. A $50 fee will apply if changes are not made 48 business hours in advance. Pay in-store only. 

Note that Meubles RD strives to honour the scheduled delivery time window. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, no compensation will be issued. Track your delivery truck using the link sent via text message or email.

Customer's Responsibilities

We recommend measuring beforehand to facilitate the delivery of your merchandise. The customer must ensure that the dimensions of the purchased furniture are adequate. A new selection is allowed if the product does not go through the doorway during delivery or pickup, but RD Furniture will charge additional delivery fees. We will invoice up to 20% restocking fees for unopened products and 40% for unpacked ones.  No refunds will be issued.

Please clear out all access points to your home, including interior and exterior entrances and passageways. For safety, ensure pets are in a different room.

 

REMOTE AREA DELIVERY

Delivery to Côte-Nord by Boat to the Nearest Port
Please allow approximately one week between the selected delivery date and the arrival of your order at the port. The Société des traversiers du Québec will contact you upon reception.

Delivery to Côte-Nord and Baie-Comeau
All deliveries to Côte-Nord and Baie-Comeau are temporarily halted during the winter when the ferry from Matane is not in service.

Delivery to Îles-de-la-Madeleine by CTMA Brossard
Please allow approximately one week between the selected delivery date and the arrival of your order at the port. Upon reception, you will receive a text message notification.

Delivery to Gaspésie and Abitibi
The delivery date you select may be adjusted to the following day. Within 48 hours of delivery, you will receive a text message or email confirmation of the updated date and time window.

PICKUP

Please check store and distribution centres’ pickup times before heading out. For security reasons, the person whose name appears on the purchase contract must be present for in-store or warehouse pickup and provide valid identification. In a fraud prevention context, RD Furniture reserves the right to refuse in-store or warehouse pickup of any item by Fairstone Financial.

For pickups at a distribution centre: When you arrive at the distribution centre, call the phone number written on the door and give your contract number to the employee. Please have a copy of your contract on hand. If an RD Furniture representative comes to help, the buyer cannot hold RD Furniture responsible for any damage caused inside or outside the car. 

For in-store pickups: When you arrive at the store, give your pickup number. Please have a copy of your contract on hand. Be accompanied if you need help loading the merchandise in your vehicle. RD Furniture cannot guarantee that a representative will be available. However, if a representative comes to help, the buyer cannot hold RD Furniture responsible for any damage caused inside or outside the car.

CONTRACT BALANCE PAYMENT
FOR PICKUPS AT A DISTRIBUTION CENTRE FOR UPCOMING PICKUP

The balance must be paid in-store before the pickup. Distribution centres cannot take payment. 

You must pay the due balance in full and pick up your item at one of our distribution centres or stores within 7 days of receipt. Otherwise, Meubles RD reserves the right to cancel the contract; you will, therefore, lose your priority on the product.

 

STORAGE FEES

After the agreed-upon date for taking possession, there will be a storage charge of $ 5 per product per week.


DELIVERY DELAYS FROM SUPPLIERS

For reasons beyond the control of RD Furniture, delivery of ordered items could be delayed. RD Furniture promises, as much as possible, to inform the customers in a timely manner.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You will receive a text message the afternoon before delivery to confirm a 4-hour time frame during which the delivery will occur. You will also be able to follow the progress of the delivery team during the day by clicking on the web link included in the text message. If your merchandise is not in stock and you have not yet agreed on a delivery day, RD Furniture will contact you upon reception of your merchandise to arrange a delivery date with you.

A photo of the delivered piece of furniture will be taken as delivery confirmation.


DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT

All our sales are final. However, RD Furniture will decide on repairing, replacing, or crediting a defective product in accordance with its refund policy.

DELIVERY -The buyer has a 48-hour period after delivery to register a claim regarding a defective product or any damage to the residence by completing the online after-sales service form.

PICKUP - The buyer has a 24-hour period to register a claim regarding damage to the merchandise by completing the online after-sales service form.

You must provide your original invoice and photos of the damaged product with your request.

The product will be repaired, free of charge, if necessary. RD Furniture will not cover damage to the fabric membrane under a sofa or chair.
