Payment plans and financing

What payment methods do you offer?

You can pay cash, by debit, by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or with the Fairstone program. For more information, see the Financing section.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, we offer a financing plan with our partner Fairstone with two options: 1-Fixed monthly payment with a 11.99% interest rate.* Payment term options: 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. Balance can be paid partially or entirely at any moment. 2-Interest-free if the purchase is paid in full at the end of the term and all minimum payments are made. ** Payment term options: 6 months. Balance can be paid partially or entirely at any moment. Minimum payment: 5 % of the due balance. Attention:  Only paying the minimum monthly payment on your account will not fully reimburse the purchase price on time, and interest fees will be charged. Do you still offer Accord D financing programs?

No, Desjardins' in-store financing will gradually phase out. At RD Furniture, our partnership ended on December 31st, 2021. We formed a new partnership with Fairstone Financial in order to maintain flexible and advantageous financing plans for our customers. For more information, see the Financing section.

I heard about Creditmeubles, what is it?

Creditmeubles is a company that offers second chance credit services. Their mission is to allow customers to get the financing they need to buy the furniture or the appliances they want, whether or not they have a good credit record. A positive or negative response to your Creditmeubles application will be provided within 24 to 48 hours. The application must be filled in at the store; it is not possible to apply online. For more information, see the Financing section.

Can I pay with PayPal or with a bank transfer?

No, we don’t offer these payment options.

Can I pay by cheque, certified cheque or money order?

No, we don’t offer these payment options.

I have a promo code, how do I use it?

The promo code is valid for online purchases only; you cannot use it in store. Simply enter your promo code when you pay your order, in the box provided for this purpose.

Where can I get a RD Furniture gift card?

Gift cards will soon be available in all our stores. You can transfer the amount of your choice on the card and offer it to the person of your choice!

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do deliver in several regions of Quebec, at a cost. Please note that RD Furniture has no fleet of vehicles for delivery. We subcontract delivery to various professional transportation companies, depending on the region where we are located. To find out what your delivery cost will be, use the estimation module on the Shipping page or on the product page under the Shipping tab. For some smaller-sized items, we also offer delivery via FedEx. Rates vary depending on the weight and type of package. Do you deliver in Ontario or in the United States?

Our delivery service for in-store or online orders covers most regions of Quebec. For Ontario, our delivery service covers a 25 km radius around the cities of Ottawa and Orléans. Shipping is not available outside Canada. Some smaller-sized items could be delivered via carrier across Canada. To find out if this option is available and get an estimate of the delivery cost, click on the «Estimate Shipping Costs» link in the chosen product page. If this option interest you, you will be able to select it when you pay your purchase. 

Is delivery free?

No, because RD Furniture does not conceal the delivery costs in the prices. The basic charge is $59.95 but it might vary depending on the distance to cover. What is the in-store pickup?

When purchasing in the store or online, you can always choose to pick up your merchandise in the store. It’s completely free! A sales consultant will contact you as soon as your merchandise is available and ready to be picked up. Make sure you have sufficient room in your vehicle to transport the products without damaging them.

I don't want to pay for delivery. Are there any other options?

You can come by and pick up your order directly in the store, it's free! A sales consultant will contact you as soon as your merchandise is available. Please note that you will need your invoice to collect.

When will my order be delivered?

Your order will be delivered as soon as possible. Each week, trucks transfer merchandise to all our stores. Some products are already available in our main warehouse, so delivery could take a few days up to 3 weeks. Other products, which are specially made-to-order for you by the manufacturer, will take 2 to 6 weeks for delivery.

How can I track my delivery?

When one of our regional transportation companies is in charge of delivery, you may check your time slot online (under the Delivery Tracking tab), starting at 6 pm, the day before your delivery. If your merchandise is not in stock and you have not yet scheduled a date for the delivery, we will call you upon the receipt of your merchandise to confirm a date with you. When delivery goes through FedEx, a tracking number will be issued to you. This number will allow you to track your shipment in real time by checking the Tracking tab of their site. FedEx will also send you confirmations at each essential transit point of your package.

Can I pay my invoice to your drivers?

No. Your purchase must be paid in full before we proceed with delivery. No payment will be accepted by our subcontractors.

Is your furniture new?

Yes! Our furniture is brand new, and in its original packaging. We buy our products from the same suppliers as the other furniture store chains. For more information, see the Inventory section of the website.

Do you buy furniture from individuals?

No, we buy only new furniture, from well-known manufacturers. We don't buy used furniture. For more information, see the Inventory section of the website.

Some products are labeled "available online only" on your website, what does that mean?

Products that are "available online only" are not featured in our stores. More than 1000 products fit this category… We know you will understand if we cannot put them all on display in the stores. But still they’re part of the inventory we want to offer you at affordable prices, so we post them on the website. Upon your purchasing, we will order them specially for you from the manufacturer.

How can I be sure the color I see on the website for an "available online only" product is the color I’m looking for?

You can drop by the closest store to see color samples! Since we cannot put all the products on display, the manufacturers provide us with samples of materials and colors so you can get a better idea of the finished product.

Can I buy an "available online only" product in store?

Of course! A sales consultant will be glad to order it for you!

Are all your products available in all your stores?

No, some products are only available in smaller quantities and are therefore not available in all the stores. By clicking on the item you want, you will see on the right, under the price, the availability of the item. You will know if this item is available for purchase online and in which stores it is on display.

How is RD Furniture different from other furniture retailers?

RD Furniture is a chain of stores that offers new furniture coming directly from manufacturers and other suppliers. We buy in bulk which allows us to offer very competitive prices. For more information, see About us and Inventory sections.


Phone orders

Can I order by phone?

Yes, you can talk to a sales consultant at the store nearest you to place your order. 30% of your invoice will be charged on your credit card at that moment. But you will need to drop by the store to pay the balance, before delivery is scheduled.

Can I pay for my order directly to drivers?

No. Your purchase must be paid in full before we proceed with delivery. No payment will be accepted by our subcontractors.


Online orders

How do I buy online?

Once in the product page, simply click on the red button "add to my basket" (under the price).

I’m trying to buy a product online, but it does not work. What do I do?

If the button under the price indicates "not available online", it means that the quantities are very limited and that, to purchase the item, you need to drop by the store where the product is available.

How long will it take for my order to be processed?

Orders placed after 3 pm will be processed on the next business day. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day. Your order will be processed once your credit card info is verified and approved.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel an order made online, within 24 business hours, by chat, with the online form or by phone (1 833 902-4281). An email confirming the cancellation of your order will be sent back to you. Without this confirmation, the order will be processed and the amounts will be charged to you in full.

My order does not seem to have worked. What do I do?

Start by making sure all the information you entered is accurate. If you chose financing as a method of payment, maybe your limit is maxed out. Please contact Desjardins via internet (http://www.desjardins.com) or by phone (1-800- 224-7737) to verify your account. It could also mean that your web browser is not compatible with our website. What are 3-D Secure, Mastercard SecureCode and Verified by Visa (VbV) Programs?

To ensure the safest online payment, RD Furniture uses the 3-D Secure system for your Visa and MasterCard transactions. This option must be activated on your credit card to complete any purchase over $500. 

Why was my credit card declined?

You may have reached your credit limit or maybe you did not enter your PIN properly. Contact your bank for more information.

Can I request free delivery?

Yes, you can select the in-store pickup option when ordering. It's free! And you will have the opportunity to choose the store of your choice for this pick-up.

Can I use a gift card or a prepaid credit card to pay for my online purchase?

For now, it is not possible to use these payment methods when shopping online.


Layaways

Do you have a layaway policy?

Yes, a layaway is possible, if you pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% on your purchase. The amount required to set aside your merchandise corresponds to 30% of the amount of your purchase, including taxes. For this, you must stop by the store and make arrangements with a sales consultant.

How long can you hold my purchase?

It is possible to layaway your purchase for 3 weeks. If you need more time, you must make special arrangements with the Manager of the store where you made your purchase.


Pricing policy

I’m interested in buying several items. Can you give me a additional discount?

Our prices are the lowest on the market. We do not offer additional discounts by e-mail, online or by phone. The prices in red are final and represent a discount of 30% to 70% compared to the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).

Are the prices in store the same as online?

Yes! Online prices are the same as in our stores. However, it is possible to find more bargains in store, because not all our products are online!

Do you have a Best Price Policy?

Yes! If you find, at any of our local competitors in Quebec, an identical item in stock but sold at a lower regular price, simply present us proof of this price and we will offer you the same price. For more information, see Pricing Policy section.

Could the price of the item that interests me now be lower in the future?

We always indicate the lowest possible price. If we can negotiate a better price with the manufacturer, we will certainly add a discount so our customers can benefit from it.

What if I bought a product last week and it is now on sale?

Please note that the law does not require merchants to give a discount to customers. However, to make up for the difference in price, RD Furniture will offer you a store credit for the amount of the difference, and only if you have not yet received your merchandise. So, there will be no refund, but a credit will be added to your RD Furniture account. And this applies only to the purchases that were made within the previous 2 weeks. Warranties and returns

Does my furniture come with a warranty?

Yes. We double the coverage offered by the manufacturer! RD Furniture now offers a limited 2-year warranty on all its furniture. For more information, see the Warranties section.

When I received my furniture, it was damaged. What should I do?

The buyer has a 48-hour period to register a claim regarding damage to the merchandise by completing the online after-sales service form. The original invoice must accompany all requests, and photos of the defective product will be required to progress the file. For more information, see our Return Policy.

There’s a part missing on my piece of furniture. What should I do?

You must notify our after-sales service team within 48 hours by completing the online after-sales service form. For more information, see ou Return Policy.

There’s a part missing on the South Shore product I bought. What should I do?

Exceptionally, the warranty on these products is honoured by the manufacturer. If there is a defect or if you’re missing a part on your South Shore piece, you can contact them directly at 1-800-290- 0465. South Shore Customer Service will be able to help you swiftly.


Types of material for living room upholstery

What is full grain leather?

Full-grain leather is the most expensive type of leather; it has not been retouched and has not been mixed or fused with another material. It looks and feels natural (it might even show the original scars of the animal). Over time, the full-grain leather will show signs of weathering, a look that is sought by many enthusiasts. On the other hand, it is somewhat fragile, vulnerable to stains and requires considerable care.

What is real leather?

Real leather is one of the most popular leather for furniture. This leather underwent many coloring and protection procedures… but it still lets air through. Its surface is smoother and more even than the full grain leather. You will find different grades on the market; depending on thickness of the skin and the procedures it underwent.

What is Revitalized leather ?

Revitalized leather (also called bounded, laminated or recycled by other retailers) is a manufactured material. It is composed of leather pieces mixed to a synthetic material. Easy care, durable and available in many colours, it is more affordable than real leather. Good care
and normal residential use will make it as durable as real leather.

What is simulated leather?

The simulated leather (also called PU or By-Cast) is an imitation, a faux leather. Imitation is, of course, less expensive, durable, pretty and pleasant to the touch than real leather. Available in rolls, like any fabric, this product is made from crust leather that is coated with polyurethane to give it color, texture and resistance. It’s the polyurethane that gives it a shiny finish. Easy to clean and sunlight-resistant, this material is also strong.

What is “combo” leather?

The expression "combo leather" simply means that the piece has parts in leather and others in simulated leather. For example, the armrest, the seat, the backrest and the footrest on an armchair, a loveseat, a sofa or a sectional could be covered in leather. The outside back and the sides of the furniture could be covered with simulated leather, to reduce production costs.

What is polyester?

Polyester is a very thick and 100% synthetic fabric that looks like leather. Although it is usually associated with garment production, polyester has proven its value in the furniture industry. Just like leather, it offers many benefits, but at a lower cost. It is highly resistant to friction, has a good elasticity, is wrinkle free and adapts to the body temperature.

What is microfiber?

Thanks to its tight weave, microfiber is quite dust and stain resistant. Because of its resistance, it is a great fabric for rooms that get a lot of use or for families with children. Microfiber stays beautiful for a long time and, thanks to its soft texture, it provides a long lasting feeling of comfort and softness.

What is Revitalized leather ?

Revitalized leather (also called bounded, laminated or recycled by other retailers) is a manufactured material. It is composed of leather pieces mixed to a synthetic material. Easy care, durable and available in many colours, it is more affordable than real leather. Good care and normal residential use will make it as durable as real leather.


What is simulated leather?

The simulated leather (also called PU or By-Cast) is an imitation, a faux leather. Imitation is, of course, less expensive, durable, pretty and pleasant to the touch than real leather. Available in rolls, like any fabric, this product is made from crust leather that is coated with polyurethane to give it color, texture and resistance. It’s the polyurethane that gives it a shiny finish. Easy to clean and sunlight-resistant, this material is also strong.


What is “combo” leather?

The expression "combo leather" simply means that the piece has parts in leather and others in simulated leather. For example, the armrest, the seat, the backrest and the footrest on an armchair, a loveseat, a sofa or a sectional could be covered in leather. The outside back and the sides of the furniture could be covered with simulated leather, to reduce production costs.


What is polyester?

Polyester is a very thick and 100% synthetic fabric that looks like leather. Although it is usually associated with garment production, polyester has proven its value in the furniture industry. Just like leather, it offers many benefits, but at a lower cost. It is highly resistant to friction, has a good elasticity, is wrinkle free and adapts to the body temperature.


What is microfiber?

Thanks to its tight weave, microfiber is quite dust and stain resistant. Because of its resistance, it is a great fabric for rooms that get a lot of use or for families with children. Microfiber stays beautiful for a long time and, thanks to its soft texture, it provides a long lasting feeling of comfort and softness.

You can pay cash, by debit, by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or with the Fairstone program. For more information, see the Financing section.


Do you offer financing?

Yes, we offer a financing plan with our partner Fairstone with two options: 1-Fixed monthly payment with a 11.99% interest rate.* Payment term options: 36 or 48 months. (A minimum amount of financing may be requires for 48 months term.) Balance can be paid partially or entirely at any moment. 2-Interest-free if the purchase is paid in full at the end of the term and all minimum payments are made. ** Payment term options: 6, 12 or 18 months. I heard about Creditmeubles, what is it?

Creditmeubles is a company that offers second chance credit services. Their mission is to allow customers to get the financing they need to buy the furniture or the appliances they want, whether or not they have a good credit record. A positive or negative response to your Creditmeubles application will be provided within 24 to 48 hours. The application must be filled in at the store; it is not possible to apply online. For more information, see the Financing section.


Can I pay with PayPal or with a bank transfer?

No, we don’t offer these payment options.


Can I pay by cheque, certified cheque or money order?

No, we don’t offer these payment options.


I have a promo code, how do I use it?

The promo code is valid for online purchases only; you cannot use it in store. Simply enter your promo code when you pay your order, in the box provided for this purpose.


Where can I get a RD Furniture gift card?

Gift cards will soon be available in all our stores. You can transfer the amount of your choice on the card and offer it to the person of your choice!



Delivery

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do deliver in several regions of Quebec, at a cost. Please note that RD Furniture has no fleet of vehicles for delivery. We subcontract delivery to various professional transportation companies, depending on the region where we are located. To find out what your delivery cost will be, use the estimation module on the Shipping page or on the product page under the Shipping tab. For some smaller-sized items, we also offer delivery via FedEx. Rates vary depending on the weight and type of package. Do you deliver in Ontario, New Brunswick, and the United States?

Our delivery service for in-store or online orders covers most Quebec province regions. In Ontario, our delivery service covers a 25 km radius around Ottawa and Orléans. In New Brunswick, we deliver weekly from Edmunston to Perth-Andover, passing through Grand Falls and Plaster Rock. Shipping is not available outside Canada. To find out if this option is available and estimate the delivery costs, click on the «Estimate Shipping Costs» link on the page of the item you want to purchase. Upon completing your purchase, you can select this option if desired. 


Is delivery free?

What is the in-store pickup?

Make sure you have sufficient room in your vehicle to transport the products without damaging them.


I don't want to pay for delivery. Are there any other options?

You can come by and pick up your order directly in the store, it's free! A sales consultant will contact you as soon as your merchandise is available. Please note that you will need your invoice to collect.


When will my order be delivered?

Your order will be delivered as soon as possible. Each week, trucks transfer merchandise to all our stores. Some products are already available in our main warehouse, so delivery could take a few days up to 3 weeks. Other products, which are specially made-to-order for you by the manufacturer, will take 2 to 6 weeks for delivery.


How can I track my delivery?

When one of our regional transportation companies is in charge of delivery, you may check your time slot online (under the Delivery Tracking tab), starting at 6 pm, the day before your delivery. If your merchandise is not in stock and you have not yet scheduled a date for the delivery, we will call you upon the receipt of your merchandise to confirm a date with you. When delivery goes through FedEx, a tracking number will be issued to you. This number will allow you to track your shipment in real time by checking the Tracking tab of their site. FedEx will also send you confirmations at each essential transit point of your package.


Can I pay my invoice to your drivers?

No. Your purchase must be paid in full before we proceed with delivery. No payment will be accepted by our subcontractors.



Product information

Is your furniture new?

Yes! Our furniture is brand new, and in its original packaging. We buy our products from the same suppliers as the other furniture store chains. For more information, see the Inventory section of the website.


Do you buy furniture from individuals?

No, we buy only new furniture, from well-known manufacturers. We don't buy used furniture. For more information, see the Inventory section of the website.


Some products are labeled "available online only" on your website, what does that mean?

Products that are "available online only" are not featured in our stores. More than 1000 products fit this category… We know you will understand if we cannot put them all on display in the stores. But still they’re part of the inventory we want to offer you at affordable prices, so we post them on the website. Upon your purchasing, we will order them specially for you from the manufacturer.


How can I be sure the color I see on the website for an "available online only" product is the color I’m looking for?

You can drop by the closest store to see color samples! Since we cannot put all the products on display, the manufacturers provide us with samples of materials and colors so you can get a better idea of the finished product.


Can I buy an "available online only" product in store?

Of course! A sales consultant will be glad to order it for you!


Are all your products available in all your stores?

No, some products are only available in smaller quantities and are therefore not available in all the stores. By clicking on the item you want, you will see on the right, under the price, the availability of the item. You will know if this item is available for purchase online and in which stores it is on display.


How is RD Furniture different from other furniture retailers?

RD Furniture is a chain of stores that offers new furniture coming directly from manufacturers and other suppliers. We buy in bulk which allows us to offer very competitive prices. For more information, see About us and Inventory sections.

 



Online orders

I’m trying to buy a product online, but it does not work. What do I do?

If the button under the price indicates "not available online", it means that the quantities are very limited and that, to purchase the item, you need to drop by the store where the product is available.


How long will it take for my order to be processed?

Orders placed after 3 pm will be processed on the next business day. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day. Your order will be processed once your credit card info is verified and approved.


Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel an order made online, within 24 business hours, by chat, with the online form or by phone (1 833 902-4281). An email confirming the cancellation of your order will be sent back to you. Without this confirmation, the order will be processed and the amounts will be charged to you in full.


What are 3-D Secure, Mastercard SecureCode and Verified by Visa (VbV) Programs?

To ensure the safest online payment, RD Furniture uses the 3-D Secure system for your Visa and MasterCard transactions. This option must be activated on your credit card to complete any purchase over $500. 


Can I request free delivery?

Yes, you can select the in-store pickup option when ordering. It's free! And you will have the opportunity to choose the store of your choice for this pick-up.


 


Pricing policy

I’m interested in buying several items. Can you give me a additional discount?

Our prices are the lowest on the market. We do not offer additional discounts by e-mail, online or by phone. The prices in red are final and represent a discount of 30% to 70% compared to the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).


Are the prices in store the same as online?

Yes! Online prices are the same as in our stores. However, it is possible to find more bargains in store, because not all our products are online!


Do you have a Best Price Policy?

Yes! If you find, at any of our local competitors in Quebec, an identical item in stock but sold at a lower regular price, simply present us proof of this price and we will offer you the same price. For more information, see Pricing Policy section.


Could the price of the item that interests me now be lower in the future?

We always indicate the lowest possible price. If we can negotiate a better price with the manufacturer, we will certainly add a discount so our customers can benefit from it.


What if I bought a product last week and it is now on sale?

Please note that the law does not require merchants to give a discount to customers. However, to make up for the difference in price, RD Furniture will offer you a store credit for the amount of the difference, and only if you have not yet received your merchandise. So, there will be no refund, but a credit will be added to your RD Furniture account. And this applies only to the purchases that were made within the previous 2 weeks. Warranties and returns

Does my furniture come with a warranty?

Yes. We double the coverage offered by the manufacturer! RD Furniture now offers a limited 2-year warranty on all its furniture. For more information, see the Warranties section.


When I received my furniture, it was damaged. What should I do?

The buyer has a 48-hour period to register a claim regarding damage to the merchandise by completing the online after-sales service form. The original invoice must accompany all requests, and photos of the defective product will be required to progress the file. For more information, see our Return Policy.


There’s a part missing on my piece of furniture. What should I do?

You must notify our after-sales service team within 48 hours by completing the online after-sales service form. For more information, see ou Return Policy.


What to do if there's a problem with my South Shore, Nexera, Monarch, or Dorel product?

The warranty on South Shore, Nexera, Monarch, and Dorel products is honoured directly by the manufacturer. If your item has manufacturing defects or parts are missing, contact the supplier according to the purchased model:
